We are open to the public from April through November:
Saturday & Sunday: 10am-3pm
and 10 additional hours per week, weather permitting. Come by to say hello!

Garden Events
The garden holds special events throughout the year. These events range from summer parties, to film screenings, to educational demonstrations about how to compost and fertilize organically. Please see our calendar for details.

Our events are free and open to the public. Come join us to celebrate local gardening and our greenpoint community. Everyone is welcome.
Become a member
The Java Street Community Garden is a member-run cooperative. Becoming a member is free! Active members must commit to some participation throughout the year such as garden work days, monitoring hours, and cooperative meetings. Our shared participation keeps the garden open for the public to enjoy. You can find more information in our FAQ.
